It's official -- Lionsgate announced today that it has cast Josh Hutcherson as Peeta and Liam Hemsworth as Gale in The Hunger Games movie.
News came out over the weekend that the two actors were frontrunners for the role, but on Monday Lionsgate confirmed to The Hunger Games Examiner that the casting was official.
Hutcherson and Hemsworth will star opposite Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss in The Hunger Games, due in theaters on March 23, 2012.
Hutcherson and Hemsworth were not the first choices of many fans (who preferred Hunter Parrish as Peeta and Drew Roy as Gale, in multiple online surveys) -- but Gary Ross and producers at Lionsgate clearly saw something in the audition process that swayed their decision.

Ce ciudat arata Josh, cred ca arata mult mai bine Hunter (cu zambetul ala a lui :x) si de Liam nu stiu ce sa zic , mi-a palcut de el in Ultimul Cantec , dar nu ma omor dupa el.
