Am cumparat acum cateva zile 2 carti din seria Immortals after Dark,de Kresley Cole.Bineinteles ca am fost atrasa de copertile extrem de sexy...........Un motiv in plus de a cumpara Demon from the Dark a fost acela ca volumul 10 are pe coperta un tip care seamana mult cu Mick St John,vampirul din serialul Moonlight.Desi in toate volumele subiectul principal este acelasi-o creatura supranaturala isi gaseste sufletul pereche si impreuna trec prin anumite situatii pana ce realizeaza ca sunt facuti sa ramana impreuna pana la adanci batraneti,nu simti ca subiectul se repeta.Cele 2 personaje principale Malkom Slaine si Carrow sunt foarte bine structurate si povestea dintre ei este foarte intensa.Malkom este un demon,sau sa zic ,,scarba'' asa cum autoarea l-a numit,(scarba fiind cuvantul folosit pentru cei care sunt jumatate vampiri jumatate demoni) cu un trecut dureros si ceva probleme de incredere,periculos dar totusi vulnerabil.Carrow este o vrajitoare care se foloseste de Malkom sa-si atinga scopul dar cade in capcana:se indragosteste de Malkom.Dar dupa ce toata cartea el a incercat sa-i demonstreze ca o iubeste si ca ar face orice pentru ea,spre final el este cel care nu o mai vrea.Si Carrow este nevoita sa ii demonstreze ceea ce el inseamna pentru ea.
Mi-a placut cartea in special pentru ca este povestita din 2 puncte de vedere si pe parcurs ajungi sa descoperi suferinta lui Malkom si sa-ti doresti ca tot ce i s-a intamplat sa nu fie adevarat.Mi-a placut mult faptul ca el vorbeste decat limba demonilor si pentru Carrow el re-invata engleza .Mi s-a parut asa de dragut cand se straduia sa-i spuna ca ea este femeia lui si ca o va proteja dar nu stia cum sa-i spuna!Sunt multe momentev amuzante in carte,in special cand el tot incearca sa o muste pe Carrow,neputandu-se abtine de a nu isi arata instinctele vampirice.
“Those who betray me do it only once.” – Malkolm este unul din citatele mele preferate,si e foarte important in carte,atunci cand Malkom isi deschide inima in fata lui Carrow povestindu-i viata de tortura si sclavie pe care a dus-o inainte sa se razbune pe toti care l-au tradat si umilit.Singura exceptie este Carrow care desi l-a tradat,scapa de razbunarea lui in favoarea iubirii.Seria in principiu este adresata adultilor,fiind condimentata cu un limbaj explicit.Un singur lucru m-a deranjat la serie-cuvinte romanesti care au cu totul alta semnificatie decat cea care ar trebui sa fie.Dar lasand asta la o parte seria,si in special acest volum este un must have pentru toti fanii vampirilor.
